W.E.I.R.D. means Welcome Everyone's Individuality and Respecting Difference. This fun and interactive presentation provides students with an insight into Canada's eclectic culture and the many cultures that have contributed to our country. 

By reinforcing the message that students should speak up and stamp out discrimination, participants will walk away from this presentation, embracing and celebrating Canadian diversity, while gaining a solid understanding of their role in creating an inclusive school environment.

THE LIGHTER SIDE OF MENTAL HEALTH - GRADES (5-12)

Student life can be stressful and demanding. With just the right amount of humour, this presentation challenges the stigma around mental illness and creates an awareness of mental health as well as an appreciation for the challenges facing students today. 

The unique and dynamic use of comedy, interactive demonstrations and storytelling make this a stand out presentation to address the sensitive issue of Mental Health and Wellness.

Workshop

USING STAND UP COMEDY TO BUILD SOME SERIOUS SKILLS GRADES (6-12) - STUDENT WORKSHOP

Using stand up comedy as a basis, lan's workshop allows students to work on curriculum expectation in literacy and communication. 

Using small groups, each student will be given the opportunity to work on being confident, develop their literacy skills and learn to become a better storyteller and speaker. 

This workshop also allows students to hone in on their strengths and differences and use laughter, creativity and confidence as a method for engagement and as a tool to manage their individual mental health and wellness.
